Celebrating Student awards
At TsingMei Art Studio, our walls echo with stories of artistic breakthroughs. From students achieving the maximum 7 in IB Visual Arts to those securing 7 World Top Awards in A-Level portfolios, every success is a testament to our three-pillar philosophy: precision mentoring that decodes assessment criteria, creative incubating that cultivates individual voice, and strategic scaffolding that transforms potential into proven excellence.
While these accolades represent measurable milestones, the true TsingMei difference lies in the unseen - the late-night studio consultations where concepts take shape, the personalized critique sessions refining brushstrokes and conceptual depth, and the curated progression plans aligning artistic growth with academic timelines.
This is why our alumni don't just meet standards, but redefine them.

Chang had never worked with oil painting when she first joined TsingMei. She progressed gradually from her first practice piece to learning the traditional oil glazing technique, starting with basic sketching and moving on to human anatomy, landscapes, and architecture before mastering the control of oil painting layers. At TsingMei, she underwent an incredible metamorphosis in just two years. Her paintings exhibit not only technical mastery but also a profound appreciation and love for painting through their meticulous composition and brilliant color, with each glaze layer accurately capturing light, shadow, and texture. Chang LIU's talent demonstrates that exceptional dedication is evident.

2024 CIE Alevel Art Design Top in the World

Congratulations to ACG Parnell Judy ZHU, who won the top score in the world for Cambridge A-Level Art Design. This is TsingMei's seventh global championship trophy.
Judy has received methodical artistic training since she joined TsingMei Art Studio at the age of nine and is now an independent young artist at the master level: Charcoal and Sketching — Sturdy construction and perception of light and shadow; Watercolor & Markers: Controllable color and composition; Complex Layering and Technique Integration in Oil Painting and Mixed Media; Visual Expression through Digital Painting Combining Contemporary Technology.
Her sophisticated understanding of light, texture, and cultural symbolism, developed during her A-Level studies at TsingMei, is evident in this piece, which ranges from ink wash aesthetics to digital art, from Eastern philosophy to avant-garde creation. From replication to originality, Judy has forged her own path between oil painting and traditional Chinese styles.

Macleans College's Emily YIN deserves congratulations for earning another flawless grade in the CIE Cambridge A Level Design & Technology (Architecture Stream) exam! A perfect score!
Every step of her portfolio, from conceptual sketches in sketchbooks to 3D modelling and spatial analysis, has been executed with accuracy, care, and astounding perfection, earning it the appellation "textbook-level excellence." She became proficient in every step of the design process at TsingMei Art Studio through methodical training, including conceptual thinking, material experimentation, structural investigation, rendering methods, and portfolio presentation.
Perseverance through numerous model revisions and countless late nights spent perfecting line drawings. Her expectations were almost perfect, and she eventually outperformed the Cambridge examiners with an impeccable A* grade.

Kelly DENG from ACG Parnell deserves congratulations for earning a perfect score of 100 in the CIE Cambridge A Level Design & Technology (Architecture Stream) exam!
She finished the entire creative cycle—design thinking → material experimentation → structural exploration → rendering techniques → portfolio presentation—under the methodical instruction at TsingMei Art Studio.
She took "good" to the "extreme" at every turn. Her passion for design verges on "obsessive-compulsive levels." She persisted in editing even after teachers praised her work, insisting, "I know it can be better." Her unwavering quest for excellence paid off, as she received a flawless A* on the Cambridge exams and was accepted into UCL's top-ranked K100 Architecture and Design program alongside Emily YIN!

2022 CIE Alevel Digital Media 98%

Lucy LIU from ACG Strathallan deserves congratulations!
In Cambridge A Level Digital Media (Graphic Design and Photography Stream), she received an exceptional A* (98%)!
Lucy has always been a self-assured girl, having attended TsingMei since she was a young child. Despite her disappointment at receiving an A (85%) in her first year of Digital Media, she persisted and frequently stayed late in the TsingMei studio to tweak compositions and change colors, making each version better than the last. Finally, with a 98% A* score, she made a spectacular comeback!
Furthermore, she achieved breakthroughs in both art and design—from graphic to spatial—and also received an A* in Design & Technology. She were unstoppable in every field. Her experience demonstrates that while talent helps you get started, method helps you reach your full potential.

Angela WANG from Westlake Girls High School established a strong foundation in design when she enrolled at TsingMei in Year 10. She actively enrolled in TsingMei's rigorous architectural software program in Year 11 and became proficient in SketchUp, Rhino, and Enscape for architectural modeling and rendering.
She eventually captivated the judges with her remarkable visual storytelling after progressively developing mature architectural thinking and spatial expression skills under the guidance of her TsingMei mentors.
