Saturday evening: Art after hours

Hi everyone. Lately a few simple urges have been on my mind: to draw a proper still life.paint a friend's portrait, make something a little self-indulgent - or just gather with other people who feel like drawing and draw and chat side by side.
So I've asked Alex to set the studio aside for two and a half hours this Saturday evening -an open invitation to anyone who likes drawing to come spend a stretch of "non-essential art hours" together.
It's completely free. Students, parents, friends-of -friends, or anyone who just heard about it - you're all welcome.
A few little things worth noting:
Bring a small gift: something to hand to someone that evening - the friend you brought, or just share it around. Nothing pricey: snacks, a small thing you no longer use, even a card. Empty-handed? Draw someone a quick picture on the spot - the finest gift of all.
What we'll draw: I'll set up a still life - a few jars, maybe flowers or fruit - to gather around. Other ideas may come up (drawing each other's portraits, say), and you're welcome to bring your own.
Materials: bring your own tools if you like, but you don't need to - the studio has everything ready.
Feeling shy? No pressure at all. Plenty of people who love drawing are introverts - me included. Find a quiet corner, put your headphones on, draw what you like. When you tire, wander a little and see what others are making; that's often all the connection we need.
I'm not a teacher: for these two and a half hours I'm just a fellow art lover, not judging technique - we're only here for a relaxed, enjoyable time. A complete beginner? Don't worry; I'll set you up and take the first step with you.
If people enjoy it, we'll keep doing it - so don't miss this first one. One catch: space is limited to 20 people. Since I can't predict numbers, please tell me your name if you're coming, say how many if you're bringing friends, and give me a heads-up if you can't make it after all, so your spot can go to someone else.
Thank you, everyone - see you Saturday evening!
Manny,
Tsingmei.
